Trinigamers is pleased to present you with the Weekly LoL Roundup. In this article we will discuss the changes made by Riot over the last week and some upcoming changes. The patch section covers the patch notes for the week. There will an LCS recap and an additional video section at the end.

    Did you know?

Cassiopeia's hidden passive removes all snakes on the map. It is the one and only passive that alters the game.

    Patch Updates:

Patch 4.6 will be released on 22/04/2014

Some may consider this a "small" patch. In this patch there are 4 major changes: 2 Nerfs, 3 Buffs. Seeing the size of the patch, I will only cover the major changes. Lets start with the Nerfs

    Nerfs:

HEAL: Since the heal buff in the previous patch, double heal bot lane has become a normal strategy. Double heal on teams were even employed during the LCS. What happened last patch was they buffed the healing value by scaling it with better with levels. They also removed the healing debuff that stopped stacking of heals and the heal may the healing debuff from ignite. Additionally, heal also gave a movespeed increase. With all these buffs to heal, it instantly became the new meta. What riot wanted to do was leave heal as a viable option but remove the obvious advantages of heal that made it the new meta. Hence, Riot returned the healing debuff so heals cannot be stacked. "Heal is 50% less effective on allies previously Healed within the past 35 seconds. This debuff only applies when an ally has been healed by the Summoner Spell Heal."

WRIGGLES LANTERN: Yet another entity that was instantly Meta'ed after a buff in the previous patch. What makes Wriggles sooo good? Simply, the scaling stats. In recent times there was a small portion of top tier junglers. These junglers were always played or banned. With the wriggles lantern buff, older DPS junglers such as, Master Yi, Xin Zhao, Nocturne and Warwick have all become popular again. The wriggles lantern allows these junglers to scale into late game. Pro junglers have said that Nocturn and Xin Zhao are the strongest now. Although Master Yi is the cheese-est jungle now, he can still be countered. Riot wanted to keep the DPS junglers strong but reduce their game impact. They increased the cost of the Wriggles lantern and the amount of monstered required to create the feral flare.

    Buffs:

GRAGAS: Recently I played gragas. Recently I regretted playing gragas. The old gragas really did deserve a nerf. He was a beast with amazing burst, harass and wave-clear. What he got was more than a nerf. Unspeakable things were done to gragas. Gragas has now become completely unplayed. In a very slow effort to regain gragas's play-ability, Riot has given him minor buffs. I hope these buffs continue so eventually gragas may regain his role in the game.

W - Drunken Rage - No more self slow when casting

E - Body Slam - Cooldown reduced to 12 seconds at all levels.

KASSADIN: Again, we see a champion that was hit with nerfbat. Kassadin was REALLY hit with the nerfbat. We can all agree that kassadin did deserve to be nerfed. No champion is balanced if they are banned in 95% of all LCS matches. Unlike gragas, I don't actually want kassadin to regain any play-ability. But Riot thinks otherwise.

    Q - Null Sphere - Damage increased. Scaling increased (0.3 to 0.8)

    W - Netherblade - Damgae increase. Scaling increase (0.6 to 0.7)

RUMBLE: Rumble wasn't in the category of useless, just in the category of under played. In an effort to return rumble to the playable zone, Riot decided to indirectly buff him. A bad rumble player will still be bad, but a good rumble player will utilize it heat bar properly. The heat bar builds up as rumble casts a spell. When the bar reaches 50% he enters the danger zone. In the danger zone his spells are empowered and are buff by a %. If he reaches 100% he gets silenced.

    W - Scrap Shield - Danger zone MS bonus - 50% (previously 25%), Danger zone Shield bonus - 50% (previously 25%)

    E - Electro Harpoon - Danger zone Damage bonus - 50% (previously 25%), Danger zone Slow bonus - 50% (previously 25%)

One of the best matches was CLG vs TSM. We saw CLG demolish TSM in game 1. Then TSM had a good comback in game 2. In game 3, TSM demolished CLG. Hence, TSM took the series 2 - 1.

People always wonder, why is cloud 9 so much better than the rest of NA. The final match against TSM shows just that. Cloud 9 destroy TSM to take the series 3 - 0.
