Criterion revealed the new Need for Speed Most Wanted game during E3 2012.This is a new version of the 2005, Need for Speed: Most Wanted game or as Criterion says it, the Most Wanted for a new generation of players.

This Most Wanted has its Single Player section and its Multiplayer section. The single player section is based off the original Most Wanted game and contains a blacklist of 10 racers (the original game had a blacklist of 15 racers).

The game seems focused on online multiplayer with the addition of the AutoLog. The Autolog was made for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit and is an in game tool that tracks every action you do, recording your best time, achievements etc. It also generates speed points during your online play, the speed points are used in the ranking system to see who is the most wanted.

Criterion has been known for making the Burnout Paradise and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, 2 successful releases in the racing game world. Producer Matt Webster stated that Most Wanted is "everything we know about open-world driving, just piling it together. All the best stuff about Burnout and everything we did in Hot Pursuit, we're just smashing them together."

Need for Speed: Most Wanted is said to be more of a driving simulator and not as arcade styled as Burnout or Hot Pursuit. The release date is said to be October 30 2012. Those of us who choose pre-order the game gain access to 1 of 3 pre-order bonus packs (Speed Pack, Strike Pack and Power Pack). Each of these packs grants a bonus car and bonus in game customization upgrades.
