What can only be described as a major document leak has revealed Microsoft's strategy for their Xbox console for 2013 and beyond. It is suggested that the Xbox 720 will release in 2013 at a $299 USD price point, that should see it available for around $3000 TT in local stores. Backward compatibility will be built in alongside a Blu ray player. The 720 will include the four player Kinect 2 built into one box, a concept that Microsoft pushes all the way down to videos content, Windows 8 applications and mobile integration all with an intended life cycle of 10 years.

Just as the Wii revolutionised the industry with motion controls, Microsoft hopes to drive home another major innovation in 2014. Codename "Fortaleza" glasses will project holograms into the sight of wearers. You will be able to see Master Chief standing in your living room as you get ready to take on impossible missions. The possibilities are so wide ranged that it's virtually endless. Come 2015 the Fortaleza glasses will be integrated into mobile and PC devices with one common tie in, the Xbox 720.
Microsoft has chosen not to comment on these rumours.
