G4TV to ditch gamer content, rebrand channel

It's been a long fall to rock bottom for G4 TV. Many never forgave the channel for killing many TechTV shows after the merge. Content took a definite nose dive and all they had left was to dangle Olivia Munn at every opportunity. They lost even more viewers when they parted ways with Adam Sessler. Now it seems they are about to descend even deeper into the abyss.

Reports from insiders indicate an overhaul of the channel branding and it's content. Word is that it will get a more classy in an attempt to become more GQ styled. This in an attempt to hold on to their young adult male demographic.

It's debatable how that is going to happen given their reliance on shows like Ninja Warrior and Cops. Expect to see gamer content dry up, possibly also coverage of geeky events like Comic Con and E3 will come to an end.
