Sony announced the launch of it marketplace, SOE Player Studio. The programme allows users to create and sell in-game items along side content created by staff artist. Items will be priced in 'Station Cash', Sonys' virtual mula and 40% of the item's net sale will be share with the creator. They hope to have it up and running soon, starting with US users and then expanding worldwide. EverQuest and EverQuest II will be one of the first games to support the SOE Marketplace and will soon be followed by Free Realms, Vanguard with more titles to come.
Selected items will be offered for sale in the SOE Marketplace alongside items created by staff artists, priced in SOE's Station Cash virtual currency. Revenue from the sale of these items will be shared back with the creative player.
The program is not yet officially running, but you can read up and even start creating items now. More information will be released at SOE Live 2012 in Las Vegas, NV.
