Logging on

most nites i try to log on and they sending me to a white page saying someting about code logic wouldnt bring u here or someting like that....

Click Forum from main page WITHOUT logging on.
Then try using the Login box at the bottom of this forum.

but the login link at the head of the page workin fine. only problem is that when i try to log in from there id oes hadda put in my username and password like 2-5 times b4 i get thru

I find that I need to login every day on the forums while the main site login remains. Is that just me?

Might be the cookies, works great for me, never have to login.

It very well maybe a cookie problem but maybe onyour side. I dont have a login problem at here or @ work. Did you check the 'remember me' check box when logging in?

because the main site has a timeout, but the forums dont

i always have to log back into the main site, but i never have to log into the forums

yeah the "remember me" thing on the forums doesnt work i hadda sign in everytime i log in on GAMERS forums now that kinda gay but not really much of a prob

Wonder why that is happening to normal members and not to us.. maybe there is a special timeout with respect to admins and different for members?


Some info for the n00bs.
When declaring(creating) a cookie you have to send it various parameters(stuff to help initialize it) one of these is a time to live, which governs how long a cookie will remain alive before its considered stale.

I just login, add it to links in firefox and just click whenever I need it:)
Never have to login.

This is the only site I get this problem on to be honest. I just logged in.. again and the 'Remember Me' box is ticked by default.
