Tips for introductions.
1. When you start a introduction thread, try to be as informative as possible.
Try to avoid only saying "Hey I'm here and I hope I will enjoy myself".
You are introducing yourself, so give the old members some information about you. That can be your asl (age, sex, language), your interests, how you entered into gaming, your clan (that's if you are in one), also your gaming interests.
Guidelines for welcoming
1. Try to be original/interesting when you welcome new members.
When a new member is informative, this is easy, because you can comment on that. But when a new member is very uninformative, it becomes a bit more difficult.
2. Be friendly and helpfull towards a new member.
Make them feel welcome and answer their questions in a friendly manner.
This also involved not making posts as. "Welcome. Don't spam or flame". Be more gentle with the new members.
3. Keep a welcomings thread a welcomings thread, and don't turn it into a conversation thread.
Of course you can reply to what a new member has said to you, since that is part of rule 2 , but don't start long conversations with "old" members that have got nothing to do with welcoming.
