Hey guys. FInally got around to comming back to the forums.....been a loooooong time. Some of you may know me (shivadee) and others know me from the old site.
Just an FYI for ppl that dont know who I am....a little history
1. If finishing my 3rd degree in Videogame Design in San Diego at ITT (First two in Business Management and Multimedia)
2. Right now I do work for SONY in their Game Advising and Analyst department. I basically test their beta games, tell them my opinion and writeup a report and they view it and decide if to impliment the changes or not. It kinda lame until i decide to get a "REAL" job but that will only be after im done studying next year.
3. Busy with making my second demo (game) to add to my CV and stuff......this one is gonna take about 2 years to make and im practially making it myself. A very long process, and time consuming...and extremely tiring.
When i have time to game i do, have all the consoles (360, PS3 and Wii) and just drop 4grand (US) on a Falcon Northwest (tower only) which gonna take another 2 weeks to arrive. I dont restrict myself, gaming is expensive and i just deal with it. Thats life.
Um...console and PC are hooked up to a 47 inch HD 1080i/p TV...do everything on that.....pretty sweet.
on LIVE im - ic3cr3amcon3
on PS3 im - finalb00st
on Wii....hmm i hadda find the friend code i hate that crap.
and well on MSN im shivadee@hotmail.com if u wanna chat.
Dont care so much if you are hardcore and can cut my @ss or not. Im more focused on game theory, deisgn, demographic and management. I leave the IT and PC tech detail for those who love it, i dont know THAT much. I just buy it and setup and use it...And i have my advisors who I trust to set me up in that field.
Technically my education has taught me the following progs. professionally...most are game design oriented, some are web oriented.
Autodesk Maya
Autodesk 3DS Max
Autodesk Motion Builder
Adobe Premiere Pro
Adobe Photoshop
Pixlogic Zbrush
FL Studio
Sony Sound Forge
Macromedia Flash
Macromedia Director
Macromedia Dreamweaver
Have fun with level design the most. SO i work on that alot. Some ppl have seen some of my work and stuff. Its not my target, i just do it because i believe most of the managers in the industry have no techincal experience (give or take some) and the ones that are on either side of the field (Technical or Creative) never strike the right balance with game design. I hope by having technical skills and fusing them with my creativity i can amount to SOMEthing. LOL
Dont care about web design...but it was a gateway to game design so I used it.
Always looking to talk game theory and design with anyone so feel free to hit me up on MSN
