Java is back, it's been for some time now. Monday was the first time I checked it out since it was under new ownership.

Noticably it was smaller, no more lobby or net section. They still found space for the inhouse drinks and snacks which is a plus. The main gaming room was in order though. 30 PCs total, with upgrades scheduled for the few remaining "net" PCs. The focus is definitely on gaming.

I saw many familiar faces from the server getting their DotA on. The calibre players there makes it's definitely one of the better places to train and get a GG. The best part is it was not noisy. Is like waw. The one gaming outburst I heard was not a broadcast to the general population.

Java seems to be in better hands than it was before, which is great considering it's legacy of being one of the best gaming cafes in the island.

Java was placed in excellent hands. Ross has done an excellent job at reviving Java's lost spirit!!! I hope his passion does not fade and he continues to run Java as a business and not a friend thing.

Of course if you cuss up the owner of the place be expected to be thrown out.

In addition to the snacks and general 'clean' look of the place, the toilet facilities are attended to on a more regular basis. scaR came on a good day, every time I make a pass in java it is still noisy to some extent. As usual there are many familiar faces (whoa rick, sky, guyver, sham, random noob)

I have discussed setting up a media server (with series like smallville, prison break, anime) to make things even more entertaining between games.

I find Java to be noisy all the time..

And Para, I did not curse any owner ( I know you throwing that at me ); Ross and I sat and talked. Try and hear my side of the story before throwing your ridiculous comments please. :)

Inbetween games is smoking time. :D
