Need network help

I used to have a Netgear Router attached to a desktop, and 2 notebooks conneted wirelessly sharing the internet.

Recently, I had to format the HD on the desktop.
I reinstalled the router as instructed, and now when I connect it via ethernet to the desktop, the internet itself drops from all the notebooks.However, the wireless network still shows connected.



Do i have to renable "SHARE THIS INTERNET CONNETION" again?If so where ?:$

As far as I know, you should have been able to just connect the desktop to the router (via cat5) and it should have worked. Explain "re-installed". If you use torrents on the desktop, that will pretty much suck all the internet bandwidth away from the laptops.

I stuck in the Netgear CD-ROM, ran through the steps.
I don't really think anything was installed per say, but I just went back through the motion to see what was taking place.

I loaded up the desktop again today, ran the "Setup a wireless network" thing, and now it works.
Seems my 3G was causing a bit of a conflict with it as well..
