So I downloaded my ventrillo, got my logitech headset and was ready to play!!

I know what you're thinking, vent on dial up? Solder mad? But with my spyware free pc, I was able to play a good couple vent games with not that much lag. Msn and topaz were also running @ the same time.;)

As i've said many a time, Ventirol could run on dial-up without much problem. Then again i have a USR external hardware modem.

Those modems ROCK eh!

Anyways, vent can be setup (server side) as to what quality/codec to use which affects the bandwidth used. Just like MP3s you will notice that lower quality MP3s are usually smaller.

Keep in mind though more traffic flowing thru vent = more bandwidth it will require.

Another source of lag for soldier!! Keeping this in mind.
