TG CVS2 Tournament Report - now with vids & pics

The tournament itself started later than expected (2pm) but flowed smoothly with 2 tvs being used instead of one. Many of matches in the top 4 were close. In the end Imperial X took our money...(again) with Analyst taking second place.

Some random things that happened..
- shoshoshoshosho :)
- Boxy getting Double KOed then losing the sudden death match. Seems like something does always happen to box :(

- Bob somehow placing higher than me..
- Me giving larry a crash course in playing Vega while driving up to Java. Then seeing him apply what he was told..I was shocked to say the least.
- Touya & Talon re-emerging from the woodwork
- Imperial having to be awoken from sleep to take our money..

I'm pretty happy with my performance, I disliked this game for a long period of time but since VXG I've gotten to like it again. Hopefully next time around I can make a top 3 placing with some solid training.

good tourney, great game!

first time i ever advanced forward in a fighting game tournament (had to play 'Kaizen' and managed to pull off a win using Vega, Guile and Kyo) and i think i want to play more of this game now, and maybe even learn how to pull off some of the combos using the grooves other than 'C'

Geese's last minute advice really helped, good thing i never had a problem identifying good advice. wish i could have seen ome more people taking part though.

Things looked good from what I saw (everyone having fun). This imperial guy wins EVERYTHING! we need to get this dude some stiff competition. Hmm i saw some handhelds and some gosu Joysticks/Gamepads.

wOOt! didn't get caught in any of the pics. Things ran pretty smooth... and imperial took the money once again... He will get beaten some day.

Some good gameage went down. I feel good now that I got beat in my first match seeing as my opponent made it to finals.

GG to all I played, I haven't had that level of competition in years. Hopefully I'll do better at the next 3S tourney, but I'm in it for the fun these days and it was certainly that.

I'd like to see a old school SF tournament at some point, it might encourage some of the older players who used to play to come out.

the couple of games outside of the finals weren't so great..hopefully sometime later on I can purchase a usb capture device so that there can be direct feed vids.

If we want to try beat Imperial we have to form a 'black hand' that trains all the time and analyzes his replays or sumtin. He's gifted. I doubt anyone's got the time for that.
