firewall and irc problems

yeah i dead bored in work and i just want to load irc but it won't connect.
tried your freedom didn't work, tried hopster that 10 min dc thing real annoying and it has this add thing and it gave some problems with network. any one got any suggestions ?

well, i am assuming that you are operating in windows, so hopster might be your only option to use http to tunnel through firewall with irc protocol.

When i was restricted like that in school, we also had the option to use linux, and the was this really nice app called GNU hyper tunnel which did more or les what hopster did without ads, it was free, and most of all, reliable.
