well a couple days ago i finally managed to try the DS WiFi capabailities out using MarioKart in the airport <st1></st1>... here's how it went.
first i had to configure the wifi settings on the Ds, simple task is just a matter of detecteing the wifi network and registering your friend code ( a unique id for other online players to connect with you)
once this was done the Ds auto-searched for an opponent and 1 was located, a guy named named AnaMarou from France. each match that you play takes place over the course of 4 races, person with the best record after the 4 races is the winenr of the match. call it beginner's luck, call it skill if you want, but i whopped this frenchie's @$$.
second match i played was against 3 opponents, 1 british, 1 german and 1 japanese. this was not as easy as the the first match, firstly these guys were all using Karts that i had YET to unlock, (andh ere i thought i had already unlocked them all) naturally the japanese guy came in first, the german was second, i was third and the american was last.
the third match was aginst the same crew, this time i was a bit more prepared so i figured i would fell out their tactics a bit in the first 2 races then frak them up in the last 2 tracks. after the first 2 races i was in 3rd position, in the third race i took the lead durign the last lap and was possibly on my way to taking either 1st or second overall, but the american retard disconnected from the race. bcuz the race was incomplete they used the stats from the last 2 races and it registered as a loss for me.
fourth match was a 1 on 1 with the German dude, his name was Bergen. it was really close, but i managed to come out on top in the end.
so as it stands my record online is 2 wins 2 losses (apaprently the 3rdp alce registered as al oss in the second match as well). not bad for my first time. and the next night i unlocked the hidden vehicles those punks used against me, they won't be so lucky next time around.
