Trying to do some 'spring cleaning' here...deleting alot of shit..backing up etc.

Came across "compress old files" in File cleanup ...windows app. Told me I can save 4gb of space by compressing files I don't use anymore.

WHat's the disadvantage..if any of this.

Should you want to access those files it would take alot more time to read/write to them. IMO if you have a few files that you don't think you will touch for a while, DVD fuh it.
