So has anyone tried the Beta II. I couldn't even get Beta I to install on my pc. Now I got beta II and it's quite frankly put, a travesty. I can see why MS pushed back the project, they needed to, badly.
I know it's a beta, but these are some of the problems I ran into.
Just for the record I'm on a 4200+/4GB ram/7900GT
It takes 8 - 10 minutes to boot.
It runs slower than windows XP
VERY, VERY, VERY unstable. I opened WMP and system crashed. I opened IE and system crashed.
I have'nt ran a game on it yet, as I don't have any. I don't expect to see anything new or fancy, especially in terms of performace as DX10 isn't attainable.
All in all, I am not impressed at all. This is MS' OS of the future, and it's still not able to compete with Apple's OSX which has been out for years now. Aside from that, Leopard is just around the corner. As far as I'm concerned, MS can squash vista completely and rebuild from the ground up, with Apple in mind. And this time, not in mind, in terms of riding thier jock as far as cosmetics is concerned. Well atleast, not in terms of that alone :D
