Symantec released updates yesterday for the flaw made public by eEye digital security only days ago.

Once exploited it permits an attacker to execute code with System level rights. This was made worse by being one that impacted corporate businesses that purchase hundreds to thousands of licenses across their entire network.

A fix was imperative. Losses could have sunk the company and paralysed many others.

Symantic is ah waste of time. it hogs resources. however if u have to use it then atleast use the corporate edition. it isn't as fanc looking but it has a hell of a smaller footprint.

ps i use mcAfee enterprise edition which has an even small footprint than symantec corporate.

I agree that Symantec blows but Mcafee blows more. I wonder if I could convince mah bosses to switch to AVG.
