Image Editing

i am trying to find a piece of software that will allow me to edit the sizes of GIF animations without making the images become static fater.

i normally use XAT for all my static image converting, but when i used it for animations, they all became static after the conversion process.

any recommendations?

ah i catch what you mean, did you try imageready?

image ready works for getting the dimensions down, but i am more interested in image compression (reducing the number of kb etc) and i do not know if imageready can do this.
