How To Replace Topaz With Mirc

Topaz does what it does well, but lets face it. Updates aren't coming in and sooner or later who knows? For PvPGN it does what you need with a few minor changes.


1. Use that as the irc server. Your name should be the same as your account name.

2. Set mIRC to perform the following on connect.

/msg nickserv identify yourpassword
/join #gosu


3. Copy + paste the topaz sounds to the mIRC sounds folder.

4. Then open the Scripts Editor in mIRC. Click the Remote tab and paste in the code below. All sounds played in channel and PM will be triggered in mIRC.

That's it. That is basically Topaz emulated. You can even msg users on joining with a little script.

i love meh topaz as well, but this can come in handy, 1 prog to run trinitaku, anime downloads and talkin on the wc3 server

Yeah it's kinda old. It was enabled on the old server, got re-enabled on this one a while after the router crash so this is just a "How To" and a notice to everyone that it's working again.

Taku + Gamers on one client is great.

as soon as i realize that irc workin with the pvpgn server again i started back using mirc. when topaz disconnect and trying to reconnect and server not responding an sh!t....allyuh never notice CPU usage on 100%? das one nasty mc bug in topaz eh.....

Yeah that one is annoying. Topaz refuses to close for me and I have to kill it in the task manager.
