ploy < $300 for a x850XT ploy, this is the same mod I was refering to in my last posts. This fireblade/bird whatever from sapphire looks nice.

I think i might handle on one of these and buy a r580 later...

Is my card moddable?
I added this section, since so many people ask "can I mod my card?".

* Download and install ATITool
* Hold down the shift key and click on "settings"
* Now scroll to the bottom of the list, you should see four new values listed.

Only the red marked numbers are of interest here. If you do not have F for the red numbers, your card can not be modded.

i think they meant that of all the cards that can be unlocked, none failed to do so

Although the Connect3D X800GTO showed up a few days ago, unannounced, Sapphire is already hitting back pretty hard. For all of $10 more ($199), Sapphire is offering the Radeon X800GTO² (X800GTO *squared*). This is the exact same card as the X800GTO we mentioned a few days ago, but all four quads (16 pixel pipes) are enabled on the R480 core!

Reports across the web already claim that this card is a monster overclocker, although the manufacturers are not allowed to sell the chips as X850 components because ATI is trying to dump inventory for R520 and RV530. ~$200 for a Radeon X850XT sounds like a good deal to me!

i still would rather get the 7800gt but cool idea they got with the gto

GTO2 = 219
X850XT = 329
X850XTPE = 449

According to my readings, the GTO2 can reach XTPE status on the fly while having room to OC on the memory.

interesting prices but i paid 289 for a x850xt ..its not 50 bucks more :P i was wrong hmm prolyl when im building up a dual core ill consider a gto to save some $$ on the card and overall costs
