i know d feeling boy...nobody selling athlon again,except for d 64 bit ones.You might hadda buy one used.

Sempron 3000+ is actually better than the AthlonXP 3200+.

Both CPUs have the same 512KB L2 cache!!! The Sempron 3200 is the only Sempron CPU which has a Barton core. The reason I say it is better, is that Semprons are overclocking significantly better than Athlon XP. This could be due to better quality materials now being used for manufacture.

SO DON'T BE FOOLED BY A NAME!!!

I personally recommend the Sempron 3000+ as the best Socket A (locked multiplier) CPU for overclocking. This comes with a 13.0X multiplier!!! clocked @ 166MHz and reaches 200MHz without much sweat.

Overclocks better than my Barton 3200 btw... :(
