well i was reading an article in OXM today and noticed a few things about the console release for this game.

the game seems to be pretty decent so far, the visuals and audio seem to match up nicely, but i have to admit that from screen shots and videos the facial detail does not seem to be as good as the PC version (i'm comparing it to the look in CG).

the controls are said to be pretty solid as all shooters on the xbox have been so far (unless you are the pc type), but since everyone loved goldeneye i see no reason why this is still an issue.

the biggest thing to alot of people is the fatc that they decided to leave out Mp from this game, i think it's always a poor decision to leave mp out of fps games, but i guess they are doing this for 2 reasons, reason 1, there is already a stand alone CS game on the xbox (which not all that hot) and reason2, they realise that they are launching a new console this year and don't want to create the impression that they are pushing another major shooter out when the focus will be on the new console.

i going to watch superman, will finish this later

any idea on the cost, if its priced just for the single player or comparible to the PC version then it might be feasible.

Buy HL2 for the single player and buy a special pack for the multiplayer.

I marvel at the graphic on the PS2 and the XBOX However the games i marvel at were developed for the console. As much as I find console graphics are 'ORN' it can not compare to that on a PC esp with those @ CG and the 'Pro' Java machines. 9800pros kick ass.

the visuals in this title looking really slick, the images i saw were all pre-beta, and they were decent enough.

price wise, i expecting about $40us, normally FPS on the xbox that do not have MP go for that price eg. chronicles of riddick. but since it is the HL franchise, it may very well be a 50 dollar game.

hmm indeed. its not comparing to well vs the steam/pc prices.. atleast its good to see valve making some extra cash, i think they deserve it after such a good job on the source engine.

I wonder if this means that the source engine can now be used on the xbox for future games...
