well i tried my hand at the demo for this game and here's how it went.
as the game starts of you find yourself in an environment that looks like a redisgned level from halo (the one where you now land on the Halo), that has been reworked using the UT2k4 engine, instantly you notice that the environments are more lush by the increae in the amount of foliage  . there are some some average water effects but other than that visual detail was quite good. one thing that i did not like was that, once again, you could not see your own legs.
the audio is pretty firm, gun sound effects are just as you would expect them to be at this age in the gaming industry, and enemy dialogue, albeit brief in the dialogue, is quite intelligent as they seem to be giving suggestions on your location to their comrades. :kakashi4:
as for enemy AI, i did not expect it to be so good for a demo, your enemies hide behind pillars and take random potshots at you which only expose them for a second, speaking about pillars, the environments are destructible  so you can use your weapons to destroy the area your enemis use for taking cover, however there's nothing to stop them from doing the same to you, all thanks to the havok physics system.
didn't gather much on the plot from the demo but you play a doctor sent to transport a patient to a certain part of a post war earth when all hell breaks loose, as usual with most games.
di not get to try the MP but i am certain that the inclusion of an option that allows you to upload your own maps on xbox live using the included map editor is one of the best recent attempts @ bridging the gap between console and pc games.
nice demo, this game may well be worth the cost of getting it original. (it also coming for pc but big deal :bleh: )
