Star Wars Live Action TV shows

well they are definitely going along with the TV show idea, however for some reason it is set between ROTS and ANH, somehow or the other that kinda sucks to me, i really can't see myself enjoying this franchise on TV especially if they using the period between the 2 trilogies as the back drop. this is what i found online through theforce.net


Here's what we've been told officially about the upcoming live-action TV series from Lucasfilm.

* 100 episodes
* 1 hour each
* based on a spinoff character
* Lucas will direct first season
* write season one at one time
* film season one at one time
* takes place between ROTS and ANH

considering the fact the tvshow budgets usually suck in comparison to movie budgets , I ain't to keen on watching star wars on tv outside of animation , which they could probably present better than a live action series which will be sub par at best.

This spin off character thing along with some poor acting etc might make for a cheap show...

Then again if its done right I could get in some more 'SW'...

Should be in a different timeline... In anycase it might be dread, i was soooooooooooooooooooo sceptical and pissed when i heard that they were making an animated star wars micro-series... then i saw it ... :|.

Dont bash it till you see it oui, thaz the best advise here. I didnt like CW Season 1 or 2 but I really enjoyed 3... I guess it was just the style...

As for ANOTHER animated series... Unfortunately some adults dont take on animated stuff they rather see a real life series... Im sure some of you understand where im coming from...

more money to be made via advertising time on a tv show as opposed to a animated series. the last chapter in the new republic would have made for a nice series and served well enough to set up the plot for a 3rd trilogy.

Well i like the idea of expanding the CW into a CGI series andthe show filling the gap between III and VI. They'e going to have to show how exactly BoBoa Fett becomes the bad ass he is and obviously the whole Han Solo and Chewbacca meeting.

remember it is based on a spinoff character, i think you may see Aaya in it since she apparently does not die in ROTS. Han will be a nice addition, but i doubt that anyone will be truely satisfied seeing a new actor play Han Solo

one thing i would have loved to see, and still have alot of hope of seeing, is a series based on the old republic. Lucas did not deny the possibility of doing a series inspired by KOTOr, in fact he seems to be along the lines of, "if they like the tv idea, we'll go for it", but i think it may focus more on the conflict that involved the likes Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma.

You guys are forgetting it a younger character so if he was to cameo in it it would be a younger actor unless they cgi the younger looking Harrison Ford and use an actor's body as a template.

I always wanted to know what happened to that armour guy that obi wan battled in clone wars. The armour guy could rejoin cut of parts of his body etc and obiwan got swallowed by him or something.

Durge comes from a species that possess no actual 'organs' which are vital to life, this allows them to be pretty much indestructible, think jeebs from MIB. their race was one of many that fell to the Mandalorians, Durge is one of a few survivors who joined with Count Dooku because he saw an oppurtunity to battle clones of a famed Mandolorian bounty hunter named jango Fett. members of this species can live up to 4,000 years old, however they begin to go insane and act erratically during the 4th quarter of their lifespan, Durge is just over 2,000.
