As if part 1 wasnt bad enough

April 21, 2005 - Wet and wild catfight in a pool? Check. Lurid affair between an older man and a much younger girl? Check. Obligatory and lingering shots of wet t-shirts hugging nubile bosoms? Check.

Guess what? You've reached the review for the completely unreviewable Wild Things: Diamonds in the Rough. Anything that we're about to tell you about how the movie is simply a contrived rip-off of its predecessors is going to go unnoticed (presuming you like-a the ladies) once you take a gander at the DVD box.

We can go on and on about how the film lacks artistic merit, how the biggest star involved with the project is Dina Meyer (uh, what?) and how the DVD itself is a lackluster example of the format, but assuming you fit into our demographic, you've probably already stopped reading after the first paragraph, and are looking for the best price online.

The plot, if you can call it that, is almost exactly the same as the original film's: a sumptuous rich girl plays the whole community (including her father) in an elaborate scam to score some diamonds that she was due to inherit.

It's more complicated than that, of course, and the film tries to get clever with the twists, but in between the steaminess it turns into a parade of bad acting, unimaginative writing (cursing is used as filler) and silly contrivances. It's a sad state of affairs when the wittiest line in the movie is "You show me yours, I'll show you mine,"but that's what we're working with. But again, do you care? This is a flick best watched on fast forward, and beyond that, it's a complete failure
