Shini's Minions perservered to take the top prize at Arena 2007 DotA.

It was never easy. Facing RnH in the semi-finals they had a great battle against one of the best teams in T&T. They prevailed and went on to face impressive newcomers GASU in the finals. Like true champions they forged ahead and dominated their way to victory. Two days of frustrating gaming paid off and Shini's Minions took their second title for 2007.

At times Arena 2007 was an event that almost spun out of control. Tournament formats were changed without notifying teams and the variable Random Draft mode was used.

Rules were scrambled together at the last moment and even changed at various points during the tournament.

Teams were playing well into midnight on Saturday as scheduling was affected as well, unsafe for gamers without vehicles.

Irate organisers even threatened to end the competition at the height of these frustrations. It was all too similiar to the first Arena in 2005.

Hopefully two sour events will inspire Arena organisers to better prepare for their future endeavours in T&T gaming.

Shen's Minions continued their dominating run in the league all the way to the end earning them the title 2007 TriniGamers DotA League Champions! Along the way they shattered RnH's five game winning streak (no ff games counted) from 2006 and setting it at a lofty NINE games!

eXcalibur, Noobs For The Win and rookie side Who's Your Daddy provided tight competition in the final four. eXcalibur placed second with Who's Your Daddy third and NFTW fourth.

There were 115 gamers, 20 teams and 68 matches involved in this four week league that captivated online gamers. It was the largest local gaming competition ever attempted in the history of T&T.

The progressive league format ensured quality opponents right through to the end. This was a display of skill and determination that had not been seen for years.
