With Street Fighter 5 being announced as a Playstation 4 exclusive at Sony's Playstation Experience event this past weekend, many have been speculating about the game's mechanics and features from the short clip that was presented by Yoshinori Ono at the event.

Earlier today a video appeared on Youtube by French FGC commentator Ken Bogard, in this video he laid out information on Street Fighter 5 which he supposedly obtained from a "reliable source". As usual these rumors should be taken with a grain of salt as there is no way to verify its authenticity.

    • There will be time and weather effects in stages.

    • The tentative release date is 2016

    • Surprisingly the game is being developed on Unreal Engine 4 and not Capcom's internal Panta Rhei engine.

    • The new stance mechanic is called V-Trigger, it allows for stance changes.

    • The game will launch with 16 characters

    • There will be no Super Street Fighter 5. Updates will be done more like League of Legends and Killer Instinct

    • There will be a better story mode than Street Fighter 4

    • PC Version is being developed for the worldwide player base but mainly Latin American, Asian and African regions.

Capcom has promised that they will reveal more about the game at this weekend's Capcom Cup event in California which will see 16 competitors faceoff for the title of Street Fighter World Champion. Stay tuned for more.
