Help...can't connect

    Hey....I downloaded WOW cataclysm from
    http://www.downeu.com/games/299676-world-of-warcraft-cataclysm.html
    and when I launched the installer,
    I got "Unable to connect. Please check your connection and firewall settings".
    I disabled windows firewall and it still fail.
    I am using blink broadband internet.:eek:

    How can i resolve this problem?

    make sure tstt's firewall is not on as well....you will have to call them and ask them to drop it

    ok...i called and told them to diconnect...
    and no change...i get the same message when i tried to install o.o

    why not just login to your blizzard account and download it from battle.net ?

    dont forget to reset your router after tstt drops the firewall

    i reset the router...still failed

    huh....i gave up on WOW
    i tried LOL....i downloaded and installed.
    i updated.....server status online
    now when i click play, i get...."connection failure: unable to connect to the pvp.net server"

    i feel like a noob....can someone tell me why i can't play online games?

    mhmm any anti-viruses / anti-spyware programs that double as a firewall? Uninstall the firewalls in case .

    Like when i had comodo even though i took it off , the security measures it locked were still active . I think you will have to go bare to figure out the problem. Hata be a port problem imo but I cant remember how to fix that other than what u said already which is call tstt.


    GUYS PORT PROBLEM WHAT HE HAVE TO DO FORWARD? SPECIFY? cant remember ..

    Sounds like the TSTT firewall is still on if you ask me.

    *clears throat* Format C!!!

    But it sounding like a TSTT firewall problem. Either that or you have a firewall you overlooking. Orrrr u can format c...lol

    Once again.

    You need to call Blink and ask them to turn off their firewall. Unless you request it, this is on by default and you cannot configure it remotely.

    I agree with scar. Call BLINK and make sure their firewall is down. Next check and make sure that the antivirus you are using is allow the game to connect to the net. If all else fail uninstall and try again...lol
