The new SoC comes with a processor and a GPU, same as the previous generation. The announcement was made at the Design West Tradeshow yesterday. The new System on Chip is based on the company’s next gen “Jaguar” CPU architecture and the graphics processor in the system on chip is based on the AMD Radeon 8000 series of GPU. Just like Intel, AMD is venturing into other high growth markets outside the PC chip manufacturing industry, which is losing market share constantly.
