PlayStation News Update 31

Hey all, last week was filled with some ups and down with the down mainly being me getting sick (lol). However the exciting from last Sunday could not be held back as we crowned our first ever Fifa 14 Champion. We look back on this and more as we bring to you another PlayStation news Update.


Starting off this weeks issue we take a short break from our usual PSN news and take a look back on the tournament that took place on the 25th of last month. It was filled with an awesome display of skill as a young Damani Garcia pushed his way to Fifa supremacy crushing all his opponents. News on Amplitude as it will be coming to both the ps3 and ps4 after finally hitting it's kick starter goal. Fans of the PS2 game should now rejoice as it will be coming to a console near you sometime in the foreseeable future.[/url]

The new oddworld game "New 'n' Tasty" gets a new trailer in anticipation of E3 this year.The game will be fully playable during E3 which means we will be getting a firsthand look at the game in action during the event. Check out the trailer below

Focus Home brought out an announcement earlier on that Sherlock:Crimes and Punishment will be coming to both the PS3 and PS4 sometime this year. Earlier on today they announced that it should be out sometime in September and that they will be present during E3 to display the game.

Every year we get our usual fifa release and also we get a NBA 2k release. This year is no different, check out the vid below for NBA 2k15 trailer in prep for E3. Players are also awarded with the KD MVP back which feature 5,000 Virtual Currency, a Kevin Durant Throwback MyTEAM Card, Two MyTEAM card packs and a MyPLAYER leg sleeves inspired by Kevin Durant.From this trailer I can say they are clearly moving in the directions gamers want to give us a more immersive feel, that we are no longer playing it but a part of the game.

As usual one of the most popular and regular yearly games, Fifa 15 will be unveiled during E3 this year. EA tweeted that the debut trailer for the game will be shown next week during there panel at E3 this year.

Moving on in the news we had a sneak peek or i would say a timely leak(clearly a PR stunt) from EA on the new battlefield game. The famous war based FPS takes on a new form as you now take part in the war on crime with this new installment.The game is expected to be out some time in December with the beta coming to the PS4 soon.

Interesting in the FPS world was once again raised with the announcement of the new homefront installment coming to the PS4.The announcement comes from Crytek Nottingham as they have been working on the new game appropriately named Homefront:The Revolution.The game will focus on sandbox style guerrilla warfare with no linear shooter action. Thereby giving players the freedom and opportunity they have come to expect from any game that comes out.Stayed tuned for more on this release when E3 begins this Monday.

News on the new metal gear solid game straight from the series creator is that the game will feature a larger map than ground zeroes. According to Hideo Kojima, the new installment will feature a large open world map that will be 200 times bigger than it's predecessor the ground zeroes.

Well as far as unexpected trailer go, mortal kombat takes the win in my book. Earlier on this week Mortal Kombat released there whose next trailer which feature fan favorites sub zero and scorpion facing off in traditional Mortal Combat. The trailer demonstrated what looks like a new feature with fully interactive environs affecting even the usual special moves of the characters. This is merely my own speculation at the moment however stay tuned as we look forward to their panel at E3 this year.

Interesting news with a PS4 + PSvita bundle revealed earlier on this week.The often-leaky Amazon France has posted a product page (via IGN) for a special PlayStation 4/PlayStation Vita "Ultimate Player Edition". We will have to wait till E3 for sony to respond to this early spoiler next week.

Another set of sad news coming out of Sony this year with the announcement of their decision to finally stop sales of their PSP in japan this year. The near decade long run of the portable console will finally meets it's end when it's sales end with this the solidification of the vita on the market is made.

Reaper will be coming to the PS Vita as an exclusive free to play action RPG. The game will feature what you would expect from most action RPG platformers (leveling, combos and oh yeah destroying your enemies) with the addition of a card system. Will be following this closely as time moves on.
