Arnold Schwarzenegger Fights To Save Zombie Daughter In His New Film “Maggie”

The first trailer for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s upcoming zombie drama ‘Maggie’ has been released. The trailer itself shows a story that seems to be very reminiscent of the Naughty Dog game ‘The Last of Us’

Arnold has noted that he is very proud of this film and noted that it was the most human role role that fans have ever seen him take on. He plays a bearded, flannel shirt-wearing father who must protect his daughter during a zombie epidemic. His daughter, Maggie, played by Little Miss Sunshine and Zombieland’s Abigail Breslin, is picked up by her dad from a hospital and the pair then go on the run. One major difference in Maggie is that Arnie’s daughter is infected – and starting to look more than a little peaky, as the trailer below shows.

Maggie Official Trailer

I'm really proud of my new film, Maggie. This is the most human zombie film you’ve ever seen, and it’s the most human role you’ve ever seen me take on. My co-star, Abigail Breslin, is absolutely incredible in the title role, and our director, Henry Hobson, made a beautiful film.

Here’s the official synopsis for the film

There’s a deadly zombie epidemic threatening humanity, but Wade (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a small-town farmer and family man, refuses to accept defeat even when his daughter Maggie (Abigail Breslin) becomes infected. As Maggie’s condition worsens and the authorities seek to eradicate those with the virus, Wade is pushed to the limits in an effort to protect her. Joely Richardson co-stars in this post-apocalyptic thriller.

The similarities aren’t entirely coincidental as Maggie was directed by Henry Hobson, who served as the title sequence director and designer on The Last of Us and also work on the  The Lone Ranger and Killzone: Shadow Fall as the sequence designer. What do you think about the trailer forMaggie?
