This week in Guild Wars 2, the patch for Blood and Madness was released and also the World vs World Leage Season 1:Dawn of the Season began
Blood and Madness
With the launch of the Blood and Madness aka Halloween patch, players are being treated to different surprises in the land of Tyria. Arenanet has given us the backstory behind the mysterious Bloody Prince, Prince Edrick Thorn. It is quite an interesting read and adds to the lore of Guild Wars 2
Similar to last year, different doors will appear randomly in maps of Kryta and players will be either be rewarded with a Trick (random enemies) or a Treat (Halloween Bag) when the door is opened.
There’s an instance called the Mad King’s Labrynith which people can enter to fight hordes of Halloween Enemies and also three Legendary enemies (A Giant Candy corn, a Skeleton lich and a Labrynith Horror).
Festival events have returned in the form of Lunatic Inquisition. Players will be transformed into villagers and they have to hide or defend themselves from other players who wil be the undead. If a villager dies, they transform into one of the undead and fall under the command of Mad King Thorn. Undead players will have to convert villagers to grow the Mad King’s thorn army. The game will continue until all the villagers are found or if the timer runs out and the villagers survive. Playing a few rounds of this game was fun and definitely worth checking out
More updates are yet to come for the Blood and Madness event. Many people may have been wondering what happened in terms of the balance changes, well the full patch notes can be read here.
World vs World Leage Season 1:Dawn of the Season
Season 1 has begun with a BANG and the WvW scene is extremely lively with everyone supoprting their server in whatever way they could, whether it’s zerging, hitting supply camps or capping ruins. Many guilds transferred servers in the last few weeks to do what was best for their guilds, prepearing for Season 1. Fans of WvW will not only be excited for the surge of activity in the different borderlands, but new achievements have been added for players to work towards (killing guards, capping towers, camps, ruins, doing jumping puzzles etc.). If you’re a WvW player, it’s a great time to be playing Guild Wars 2
